The Finnish Neuro Society’s housing and support services
The Finnish Neuro Society has four assisted living facilities for adult neurological patients who require round-the-clock assistance: Kuntokoti in Masku, Merenpisara in Helsinki, Pihapihlaja in Seinäjoki, and Satakieli in Lappeenranta.
Help is always at hand at the assisted living facilities, but residents are encouraged to be active, independent and take control of their lives. The privacy of every resident is guaranteed, but no one needs to feel lonely: company is always at hand in the common facilities, and you can meet people by participating in common activities.
In addition to long and short-term assisted living, the assisted living facilities organise various support services, such as personal assistance and daytime activities. In addition to these services, housing coaching is provided in Pihapihlaja and Satakieli, day place services are provided in Pihapihlaja, and occupational therapy is provided in Satakieli. The best possible practices are used to construct a complete personalised service that meets the needs of every client, in cooperation with the client and their home municipality.
